Mrs. and Mrs. GER love visiting museums. They take road trips on those rare occasions they get a break from running and marketing Gateway Escape Rooms. A favorite getaway activity is a simple road trip. Inevitably one of the sights they go see (once they check out the local escape rooms!) are science museums.

The interactive nature of a modern science museum is a major inspiration for the puzzles and clues at Gateway Escape Rooms. Visitors can touch and move things to learn, discovering new ideas. This discovery through exploration is a key goal for Gateway Escape Rooms. This discovery function is seen in rooms like Art Gallery Heist and Murder in the Man Cave. Mr. GER among other things is a “maker.”  “Makers” are folks who like to tinker, create and “make” stuff that either does not exist (or can be purchased with far less effort and cost!). Most of the clues and fixtures at our escape room are his own creation. Gateway Escape Rooms feature custom fixtures that are often clues, and are built to “museum quality”.

We want your visit to be mentally challenging and fun, but we also want you to see something special. Our guests get to see cool stuff – we won’t spoil any surprises – in our escape rooms and you can thank great places like the St. Louis Science Center, Chicago Museum of Science and Industry and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry for planting the seed of that coolness.
